A Brunching Convert

Breakfast was always my least favourite meal of the day. I didn't understand the hype around brunch. I routinely skipped the first round of eating in favour of the variety of snack foods I could choose from at 11am.
Breakfasting and brunching in Sydney changed all of that. Australians take brunch seriously, throwing all preconceived notions about what's allowed on the breakfast table straight out of a beach adjacent window. It's the busiest time to eat out at restaurants or cafes, and it's easy to eat healthy without feeling like you're compromising your meal out treat.

Cuckoo Callay, Newtown. Purple Rain - beetroot cured salmon, poached egg, quinoa, broccolini, avocado, sugar snap peas and feta cheese.

Ouroboros Organic Wholefoods, Surry Hills. Sweetcorn fritters with bacon, avocado, rocket and sour cream.

The Butcher's Block, Wahroonga. Truffle eggs - truffle infused scrambled eggs on sourdough, smoked salmon, dill, fennel, chervil.
